And yes, the show says that friendship is worthwhile and perhaps being a shut-in scholar isn't the best idea, but episode after episode demonstrates that knowledge is vital in saving the day, e.g. Fluttershy's knowledge of fashion.

Multiple threads on one subject has never been supported. It splits up activity and takes up unnecessary space. Besides, as someone already mentioned in a screencap posted previously, if multiple threads were allowed then we would also be back to the threads asking "why do you like this show" and the threads claiming that we're "the cancer killing /co/" and such.

Basically, if you weren't here before the rules were put in place, you don't really have much room to argue against them. Fluttershy earned points like a bowss this episode. The evil scheming and "why won't you love me!?" were golden (I'm saying this as a person with whom she ranks rather low per usual). Rarity's interaction with Prince Douchebag was entertaining as well.

Princess Celestia inviting Twiligh and co to the gala knowing that it'll be another suckfest just cements her Trollestia status. She might be just a princess in Equestria, but she's been the queen of the trolls for quite some time as we're concerned.

And yet, while a top tier episode, Psycho Pie doesn't have to worry her pretty little schizophrenic head over this one — she's still in my favorite episode.

I made both of these in the past hour or so. Did I do good?

I felt this week's episode was pretty weak overall, and at times just plain out of character. Fluttershy raging at the animals who were OBVIOUSLY shaking and terrified? When her "special ability"--the one that got her her cutie mark IIRC--is to get along with animals? I mean, she's gotten angry before, but not for animals BEING SCARED, sheesh. Rarity putting up with that much crap from ANYONE, even if it -is- supposed to be her Prince Charming? Ridiculous on both counts.

The plots to the other 4 ponies individually I thought was okay, but then that ending... what, exactly, are kids supposed to learn from this? That it's okay to trash a fancy party just because you're not happy? That all adults will do if you do so is just laugh it off and then say "OH YOU LIVENED IT UP GOOD BOY HOWDY?" If the true message was to stick with your friends, cool, but there's just better narratives to get that message across.

TL; DR: I can't wait for Season 2, but I felt like in terms of season finale's, today's episde was just... weak.
