05/06/11(Fri)06:38 No.25689429>>25689408 As Gummy got older, the range of his telepathy grew, and he was still able to continue masking Pinkie's true personality even while she was on adventures far away from home. This had a few side effects, though. Pinkie and her friends began noticing that she possessed strange predictive powers, which most of them simply dismissed as a mysterious "Pinkie Sense." However, her newest friend, Twilight Sparkle, became suspicious. While Twilight eventually gave up on her attempts to scientifically explain this phenomenon, Gummy was extremely concerned that his plan would be unfurled, and tried his hardest to spy on Twilight during her investigation, even going so far as to sneak in next to her during a bath. Another, much more severe crisis occurred the day after Gummy's first birthday, where he realized that the personality he had constructed for Pinkie was, in one regard, much too flimsy. Her entire façade, of happiness and laughter, was built around supplying those emotions to her friends, and when she suspected that her friends no longer wanted to be with her, Gummy's mind-control almost completely receded. Gummy stayed by her side even longer than usual, trying his very hardest to override Pinkie's homocidal tendencies. Luckily, Pinkie's realization that she still had friends came only minutes before she would have murdered each pony and burnt Ponyville to the ground, but Gummy now knew that if he could not hone his abilities to prevent such a mishap from occurring again, all of Ponyville might be doomed. |
