From the thumbnail it kind of looks like Dash has one really long right arm/leg and it's stretching around Scootaloo's head.
First recommendation is draw the head, limbs, and face bigger so you can use thicker lines on everything when you ink. If you want to get closer to the show's style find a way that works for you to colour your lines, too. There are some colour guides, too, like http://kefkafloyd.deviantart.com/gallery/28942848
Try to use sharper lines, particularly in the manner you're trying to draw them. When using traditional media consider rulers and shaped curves where possible and digitally use line tools and manipulate the product.
The show was made in flash, so decide whether you're trying to look on-model or recreating in another style - if you're going for on model or something similar, the closer you can get to flash-looking art the better. If another style, you'll want to get away from the tube-limb pony look entirely. |
