I know what you mean. It used to be a lot smaller, and I could hang out in those threads for hours at a time. The dynamic of the fandom has changed over the months, and now the threads just feel like a vehicle for creating creepy fetish art and fan fiction, basically like Homestuck threads.

I stopped regularly visiting the threads near the end of winter, now I only ever show up on Fridays for new episode discussion, which is when a lot of other bronies show up as well. Those threads are very similar to the ones I remember from fall and early winter.

I've been here since the second week the show began and I still find these threads hilariously amusing. I won't say they are perfect though. Nowadays I usually just show up on Fridays with the occasional visit to a general once or twice during the week. Aside from Fridays, most of the time it is either boring or crap. And since the beginning I have wondered why people want to talk about the show 24/7, especially before I was a fan. It'd be like if there was a Mystery Incorporated thread on the front page every hour as opposed to the threads that pop up about once a week or less (will be more of course with the show finally being out of hiatus, but still). At least those daily Tangled threads died down, those were getting weird.

The Show Stoppers and Owls Well that Ends well are on the bottom of my list, too.

Most of the other episodes genuinely surprised me when I first saw them, even knowing what the plot and cliches were probably going to be going in. Those two episodes, though, were just such paint-by-numbers standard fare that I didn't much care for them. They weren't bad - but they weren't on par with the others.

Personally, I would love to see Twist forming a friendship bond with Snips and Snails during season 2.

The filly was abandoned by her friend Applebloom, and she felt miserable for a while, until Snips and Snails decided to play some tricks in front of her to cheer her up, and they suceeded.
So Twist discovers that the pair of assholes aren't so bad as everyone thinks and she starts to hang around with them, eventually forming her own power trio. Twist becomes a good influence for Snips and Snails, while they enjoy her company, her cheeful personality and her funny lisp makes them chuckle a bit (plus her home made candy isn't bad at all)
Twist, Snips and Snails go out on some little adventures, where, under Twist's nerdy but effective direction, Snips and Snails can focus and use their talents in a useful way, eventually earning the respect of Ponyville's habitants.
On a fit of poetic justice, Twist and friends will never realize that every adventure or good deed of them is indirectly shooting down the CMC's attempts to get their Cutie Marks, either by outdoing them or by simply finishing the same deed that the CMC were intending to do.

What's funny is one of the most appealing things about the show used to be the community.
