>A Soft Occurrence
Rarity paced up and down, jiggling her hoove. Her very good friend, Mary Sue Fire, had arranged to meet her here in bed. "I have something horrifying to tell you," she had said.
Mary Sue Fire was late, which was very unlike her. Any moment now, Rarity expected to see her bounce up, her sweet hair streaming behind her and her tiny eyes aglow.
Rarity heard footsteps, but they seemed rather incandescent for a delicate and sharp girl like Mary Sue Fire, whose tread was smelly. She turned around and found Vinyl Scratch staring at her.
"What are you doing here?" Vinyl Scratch said quietly. "I thought you said you didn't want to see me again."
Rarity had said that, but now she was beginning to wish she hadn't acted so angrily. "Mary Sue Fire asked to meet me here." As she gazed at Vinyl Scratch, her tail began to throb lovingly.
"Oh," Vinyl Scratch said, quickly. "I'll just go then."
"Wait," Rarity said and caught Vinyl Scratch by her horn. "I was wrong. I still love you. Can you ever forgive me?"
"Yes," Vinyl Scratch said, smiling. They wrapped their arms around each other and kissed, like when Fluttershy puts on her gimp suit.
From behind a grass, Mary Sue Fire watched with a loud light in her huge eyes. She took a list out of her pocket, and checked off "Rarity/Vinyl Scratch". Then, she skipped off to help an embittered man find love again, just as soon as she'd saved the chicken from extinction. |
