There's a lot of drawing guides for drawing the ponies on Ponibooru, but I was wondering, what drawing tools would get the best results?

I was thinking maybe drawing them from scratch in Flash, but maybe it'd be easier to draw them on paper then scan them and draw over them with a tablet in, say, Photoshop Elements (I don't have Illustrator or true Photoshop).

I'm not sure, I'm not a great artist. Any ideas? What do you/other artists do or use to draw the ponies?

The Absent-minded Terror Of The Snow

It snowed a foot overnight. When they woke up, Ditzy Doo and Rainbow Dash went out to play. First, they made snow angels. Then they had a snowball fight and Ditzy Doo hit Rainbow Dash in her snout with a big cloudy iceball. It hurt a lot, but Ditzy Doo kissed it quickly and then it was all better.

Then they decided to make a snow man.

"Here," Rainbow Dash said and held up a clumsy cloud. "I found this among the clouds." She put the cloud onto the pony's head.

It was perfect. For about a minute. Then the pony, even though it was just made of snow, started to move and growl like one of Pinkie Pie's parties, a source of joy unending.

Rainbow Dash screamed derpily and ran but the snow pony chased her until she tripped over a tree root. Then the snow pony flew her sleepily.

"Nobody does that to my little Cross-eyed Package," Ditzy Doo screamed. She grabbed an icicle and stabbed the snow pony through the wing. It fell down and Ditzy Doo kicked it apart until it was just a bunch of snow again.

"You saved me!" Rainbow Dash said and they shared an embrace in the snow before going in for hot chocolate.

The cloud lay in the yard until a speedy child picked it up and took it home.

Every couple years or so Celestia would even send her a new friend. Of course, not everypony is an immortal moon goddess, and so it took Luna a few tries to figure out how to keep them from suffocating to death. But after that, she only had to deal with them dying of old age.

Banishments tapered off a bit towards the end, but something would still pop up every year or so. Eventually there would only ever be one other pony on the moon at a time, with gaps in between, so far had her sister mellowed. Luna took to naming each replacement "Sunny", regardless of their original name.
