This is the introduction to a story, I would like to know how it is. Do you know what the story is about? Does it make you want to read it? Is it in-character?
"Are you sure about this Pinkie?" Mrs Cake spoke with a worried tone. She stood in the middle of Sugarcube Corner while Pinkie Pie bounced across the floor, picking up any stray pastries that lay on the counter and packing them into her saddlebag. "The Everfree forest can be a real dangerous place..."
"Well of course I'm sure silly!" Pinkie replied, setting her bags on the counter. "I go every year after all, what's the worry?" Pinkie disappeared up the stairs, only to return shortly after with a whistle in her mouth, she dropped it into her saddlebag. She was preparing to go on an expedition into the Everfree forest in search of gum-gum drops, a rare fruit that was only found in a secluded valley in the forest. It was the main ingredient for the traditional gum-gum muffins of Halloween.
Mrs Cake sighed "But Pinkie, every other year Mr. Cake went with ya... It doesn't sit right, you goin' all alone" She approached Pinkie who immediately darted into the cabinets. Pans and measuring cups flew into the air, Mrs. Cake struggled to catch them. Pinkie Pie popped up, party hat perched between her peckers.
