Their character designs are just really good. Their personalities are full and real, their voices are lively and dynamic. Their designs, while not created to be sexualized or attractive in that way, they are very aesthetically pleasing. Just their design elements are perfectly crafted - cute small muzzles, large eyes/large head, marshmallow limbs, pleasant color schemes etc. I was instantly enamored with these characters from watching the show, as was the intended effect. It's just good character design. However because I am an adult and a complete depraved pervert my adoration for my most select favorite of the ponies eventually blurred over into the area of lust as well. It couldn't be helped. The creators should feel flattered to have created such lovable characters, it is a testament to the quality of their design. People of all walks of life, all ages and so forth can love these characters on a spectrum of levels. |
