Well just a couple notes on shading
Don't airbrush them in unless you really know what you're doing. Treat them as solid areas, like you did with the colors. Ponies aren't drawn with much detail, so their shading doesn't need details either.
Be consistent on the direction shadows are projected. In most lightings and object would only cast a shadow on one side.

The writing, dialogue, VAs... everyone involved just seemed to not give a shit, and just went though the motions of making something.

This new version though... it's got something. The creators are working hard on it, and they're putting effort into it. More than what's needed to pass by whatever quality standards Hasbro doesn't have.

The characters are different from one another, visually and emotionally. In past generations every pony was just so samey. They all were there to appeal to little girl stereotypes. In this one, they're made in the mind of how Lauren actually played with them, instead of what's been.

The animation is smooth, pleasing to look at, if not a little rushed.

It's a show made for little girls AND their parents, rather than just a show made for little girls.
