I can't find any Twilight Sparkle x Spike fanfics. Do they exist? Seems like it'd be a pretty obvious pairing.

The cattle were never directly referred to as livestock, were they, though? They were sitting in their field, they saw a snake, they decided to move on out. Doesn't really sound like they're locked up in the barn, rather like they're free to come and go as they please and simply prefer to live in the Apple Barn. Applejack also spoke to them as though they were equals.

For cows, if they're not milked daily it becomes a health problem and causes considerable pain from impaction or infection. I think the cows are simply rather business savvy and squeeze free lodgings and food out of the ponies in return for a ready supply of their milk, which they don't have any use for unless they want to go on maternity leave with their calves.

If you read it, please tell me something that is wrong with it. Sethisto had that whole fanfic discussion thing and I think I'm the kind of writer he's upset with. About this whole pony train thing, it's possible that the front part only looks like a steam engine, and in fact is just the conductors room or something.
I also don't believe humans existed. Think about those benches, and other things it doesn't make sense for ponies to use. If humans are long since dead, who decided to maintain these things? Wood rots and metal rusts last I checked. If non ponies made these things, why would they know their use, and consequently keep them working? It makes more sense that the ponies designed them for themselves, and thus decided to use/maintain them themselves.
