After offhandedly dismissing this show as lame or as a desperate bid for more toys, 4chan and the legions of fans caught my attention. Even then, I ignored it. I mean, it's a kids show. How good could it be?

How wrong I was.

I finally got around to watching the first half of the pilot onyoutube. First impressions: Intro, mildly annoying and VERY pink.

And then, the magic began. I'm not going to describe every scene, because most of them would involve telling you how amazed I was by the pure quality. Also, the references. So many awesome references.

I'm probably gonna end up watching most of the season in about 2 sittings.It will be, in no uncertain terms, one of the best choices I have ever made.

The best part is that if I had kids, I would have zero problem watching this with them. In short, I am now most certainly a brony. (Or at least a newcolt)

(P.S, I'm 18. And male. And am unashamed by this.)
