I had my first pony related dream last night! Twilight and spike ruled a castle or something and it was the job of me and some guys I used to play in a thrash metal band with to defend it.We were the knights of the round table like in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Then someone clogged up the drain with their hair and Twilight bitched at me to find out who did it. Then for some reason I was playing bass through a guitar amp in the castle for the other ponies. Then I woke up. T'was a strange dream.

Spike accidentally destroys some of Twilight's rare books, and she gets angry at doesn't want to speak with him.
However, she soon overhears Spike talking with the others ponies about "going away", and thinks that he is going to leave Ponyville. In reality, Spike is taking a trip to Canterlot to find replacements for the books he destroyed, while orchestrating a surprise party so he can give the books as presents, in order to make amends. The other ponies are all in on the surprise party, helping set it up and trying to keep everything under wraps. Twilight becomes worried that she's about to lose her best friend.

When everyone avoids talking to Twilight about Spike, and overhears him saying things about leaving on multiple occasions, Twilight freaks out and confronts everybody, and tells Spike that even though he can be annoying at times, that she doesn't want to see him go away forever.
At this point, Spike reveals that he was planning a party, much to Twilight's relief. The moral is that even though friends can be annoying and even downright maddening, their company might not last and you should treasure them, because you sometimes don't realize how much they mean to you.
