Rainbow Dash - Hooks up with one of her old bullies
Fluttery - Braeburn came up to help AJ sell apples at the event. Notices Fluttershy after observing her taking care of some rabbits somewhere. He falls for her, and approaches her. He stumbles over his own words, but Fluttershy gets the hint, and asks him to accompany her to the gala.
Rarity - Is asked by Spike, but she politely turns him down. She ends up going alone to try to get with Celestia's nephew, which she succeeds in doing.
Applejack - Goes alone. She only wanted to sell apples, after all. Celestia's nephew knows her from when she moved in with her high-class relatives. He had a crush on her, but never saw her again after she want back to the farm, until today. He spends the whole night blowing off Rarity to try to get with AJ. It's time for the final dance, he walks out with Rarity only to move towards AJ and ask her. She refuses, and Rarity denies him when he tries to come back. She apologizes to Spike afterwards, giving him a friendly kiss on the cheek.
Twilight - Is freaking out, because all the books say she needs a date. She has Spike make a list of the best candidates for her, and she starts meeting them. All of them are awful, until she meets the last pony. He's perfect, and they get along great. The last dance is about to happen, and the two start to walk out. She notices Spike sadly watching everyone walk out, especially Rarity, and he leaves to garden. Twilight apologizes to her date, and follows Spike to have a dance with her long time friend. In the end, Twilight, Spike, and Rarity realize you only need your friends to be happy |
