RD: *turns to Dustcloud, looks her in the eye, her tone hard and cold* "Kid, the Wonderbolts aren't who they are because they practice or are faster than other. Any pegasus can go fast. They're who they are because they're lucky. They've somehow avoided all the dangers of the sky, freak heatbursts, opposing currents, birdpatterns, and even sheer recklessness, not because of how good they were, but because they weren't the hundreds who've tried, and fallen hard. *starts pacing, not even acknowledging Dustcloud* And even then, they aren't going to escape it in the end. Go look up the old rosters, and check up on them, only two Wonderbolts have retired unscathed in their 'illustrious history'. Yes, fast is fun, fast is 'cool', but fast is dangerous, Dustcloud, and the faster you go, the harder you'll crash. Slow and steady stays in the race."
DC: *looks at left wing of Rainbow Dash, slightly bent out of shape* "Mi-miss Rainbow?"
RD: *regains composure, and turns back to packing* "Yes?"
DC: "How did you injure your wing?"
RD: *Mane prickles, right wing flaps hard, looks about to yell something, when bell rings again, and stops herself* "You're late for your next class, Dustcloud. Run along."
*Returns to packing, Dustcloud keeps staring for a few seconds, then backs out and runs down the halls to another cloud section. Rainbow Dash sees her leave, and glares off into the distance, stomping her right back hoof hard and flapping her tail*
Announcer voice: "Ground Level Taxi will be docking at the E Cloud in five minutes, repeat, Ground Level Taxi will be docking at the E cloud in five minutes."
*Rainbow Dash blinks back to focus, and grabs bag, heading out for the door* |
