It can, if the gods are numerous enough, boil down to "God of this particular tree growing right over here, no not that one, the one next to it. Yeah, that tree. I'm god of it."
What this means, I think, is that there are probably a few more god-figures, if not hanging out somewhere we haven't seen yet, then long gone and only remembered in myth.
Or, yeah, they're just super-magic horses treated like gods. |
