Same here. Trixie is a very powerful unicorn from what Boast Busters showed. Next to Twilight, she's the strongest one. I'm not sure why people keep trying to snatch credit away from Trixie just because she couldn't take the Ursa Minor. That thing was literally dropped on her doorstep in the middle of the night too. That's not really fair, but at least she gave it a shot. Also, Twilight didn't do too good against the other monsters in the show. Twilight is strong, but she's not unbeatable. Where exactly do you get this? What did she do that other unicorns are not capable of doing? She turned a main green, and used basic telekenesis. She did nothing else. When confronted with the ursa minor, all she managed to do was slowly wrap a rope around its toe with telekenesis, a skill that as far as we know, every single unicorn possesses.

Finally, something I can get my theorizing on about again!

Both times now when Rainbow Dash managed the sonic rainboom, it was on behalf of one of the other five ponies of the main/mane cast. Her desire to be victorious over her opponent in the first case motivated beyond her normal winning attitude by her need to "defend Fluttershy's honour", and in the second case she was saving Rarity. Is it possible that she can ONLY do it in such a situation?

And it's clear that aside being a pure visual effect, the rainboom had some sort of mystical destiny effect based off the connection between the mane cast. It set them directly on the paths that would lead to their eventual meeting. And in Twilight's case, it brought the quickening of her magical powers, the formation of a cutie mark that seemed a foretelling of the future, and caused a display which was very similar to her ultimate use of the Elements of Harmony.

The Elements of Harmony being, of course, a set of powerful magical artifacts that could only be used by six ponies who are friends, and which when combined can produce supremely powerful magic characterized by a visual effect similar to... a rainbow.

It was off-model in a good, cartoony way. The expressions and movements were actually pretty well done, evem better than the average episode of this show which is actually saying something. Things can get boring if you stay on model all the time.

Trixie made up stories about the Ursa, sure, but she certainly backed up her claim to fame in other aspects. You have to factor in how Trixie went about dispatching all of her challengers. Each one that opposed Trixie's claim to doing everything better than them was defeated. Now you can argue that it wasn't a fight, or she was handing out cheap shots, but you have to remember it takes place in Equestria. Duels and acts of showmanship likely work different there.

As for the aftermaths, nobody called Trixie out on doing anything shifty after they lost to her and no one else tried to challenge her. Twilight might have put Trixie in her place, but ducked out and retreated. With nobody left to test their meddle, Trixie proved that she was the superior magical pony in Ponyville, until Twilight came out of hiding later that is. Although that wasn't a direct challenge against Trixie.

Whether Trixie and Twilight are the strongest unicorns in Equestria remains to be seen, but they are the strongest in Ponyville.

This episode makes me want to see a time travel episode.

I have the idea that Trixie goes overboard trying to prove her magical prowess and creates a portal to the past and accidently prevents Dash from performing the Rainboom by knocking Fluttershy out of the way of the bullies before Rainbow Dash challenges them. before she performs the Rainboom, thus messing up the future. None of the ponies ever meet and Nightmare Moon takes over, creating a night time dystopia. I haven't really worked out how it gets fixed, but I think it would have to be a two or three partter. I call it "The Fluttershy Effect."
