I had my doubts going into this episode. I knew it would be flashbacks but I didn't think they would be able to pull one off for each pony. 20 min. ep ÷ 6 ponies + CMC scenes doesn't leave much more than a minute or two per flashback, so I thought it would just focus on a couple of them. Still given the constraints they did a pretty damn good job, even if it was just the CMC bouncing from one pony to the next without anything inbetween.

The only downside I would say would be the end when they all had to reiterate how it was RD's rainbow that they all had seen. I know kids have a short attention span, but it was pretty obvious to anyone watching and we really didn't need to be beaten over the head with it.

I loved the adorable younger versions of the mane cast (Amish Pinkie Pie especially :3), but it's not well pieced-together and a bit cheesy toward the end.

They could have spent a bit more time on the ponies' stories or the transitions between them if they had spent less time having them all have a rainboom epiphany at the end. I also wish they could have made a younger version of Derpy for the background.

Still an enjoyable watch, just not my favorite.

I thought it was interesting trivia to know that Pinkie Pie actually doesn't have a natural bouffant and has rather straight, mid-length hair. The ponies doing up their hair nice and fancy seems very commonplace, much like how Trixie has extremely long hair on par with Fluttershy when it isn't styled. Rarity has exceptionally long hair as well.

Just finished watching today's episode. It honestly wasn't as cute as I expected (maybe I had unrealistic expectations?), but it was still really damn cute. Especially Twilight, holy shit, I expected hers to be boring but in all honesty it was probably the cutest of all.
