So, I'm not going to stick around (I haven't seen the new episode yet, and I want to avoid spoilers). I just want to tell you all a little story:

I started watching MLP about two weeks before McDonalds ended their toy promotion. Once I was well and truly hooked, I headed over to get myself a few happy meals and some toys. Sadly, by the time I showed up, my local McDonalds only had Fluttershy left.

Not that there's anything wrong with Fluttershy (if it was just Cheerilee, I'd have been pissed), but I was really hoping to get my hands on a Rainbow Dash.

So, I did what any self-respecting brony would do: I hopped on e-bay. But first, lest I blow a wad of dough on a cheap plastic toy and regret it later, I set a price above which I would not pay. After thinking it over, I decided I wouldn't give up more than 5 dollars for my Rainbow Dash toy, including shipping.

If any of you have been trolling e-bay like I have, you know that the Dashes are selling for about 7-10 bucks each (again, including shipping). Over the last few months, I've bid on dozens of these things, only to lose out every single time. There were times when I was tempted to renege on the promise I'd made to myself, but I knew I'd regret it if I bid more than 5 bucks. Besides, by now I had an emotional investment in getting one of these at MY price.

Today, after countless setbacks, victory is mine at last. Pic related.
