So I was wondering. Does anybody remember that pony album project AJ tried way back when but then quit in the middle of thanks to two people bitching about song choices? I was thinking of bringing it back. Anyone interested?

Here's the deal, we can plan several character albums for each of the 6 mane (lol I'm funny) ponies, one for side characters (Cutie Mark Crusaders, Gilda, Zecora, Derpy, etc), and depending on popular demand, anybody else who you think deserves a full one. Total number of songs will prolly be about 20 for each (except maybe more for the side character album). We can try accepting up to 30 songs and then have a vote or something to narrow it back down to 20.

It was fun while it lasted last time. Anybody interested in starting it back up?

Hey /co/! I've been writing a story lately that draws inspiration from the Conversion Bureua (Besides the human-to-pony thing it bears little resemblance) and I was hoping to get some feedback on it. FYI this is an early draft, so a fair bit more is going to be added and the second chapter is going to be completely gutted since its an expositionary nightmare.

The basic gist of the story is that an old general is selected to become the ambassador to Equestria. Earth is dying and Equestria needs an influx of workers to sustain thier faltering economy after a war strips them of their male working population. Soon the weathered veteran finds himself one of the last men alive, yet the actions he has undertaken to garuntee a future for his kind have stripped him of everything that made him human. Minor grimdark and a lot of sad.

I liked the pilot after I was comfortable with Friendship and it's magicalness, otherwise, it's best to start off with one that isn't so girly themed no comment on that comment so I would go with one that's mainly funny and less adorable themed even though you will DAW at every episode (I would go with A Dog and Pony Show, if you're ok going in the later part of the series)

No matter what anybody says, it's best to start off with the two pilot episodes. All of the episodes following mostly play on the ideas of the characters we were introduced to early on (like Bridle Gossip, for example), so showing somebody that without letting them see the events leading up to that episode throws the whole joke off.

In my experience of brony-converting, showing the two pilot episodes first has always made a friend come back to watch the episodes following.

That was my post that got capped, for whatever reason. I really love the way Nanaki colors pictures. He puts a little extra effort into them that few others do. It's pretty commendable and I gotta give him credit for his contributions. His TF2 stuff is kinda cool too.

On the other hand, Nanaki has his off days where he'll do something, or say something so shoe-on-head retarded that it warrants a severe beating. It's difficult to gauge how to feel about him because he fluctuates so wildly between being completely intolerable and immensely helpful.
