Yeah, Rarity's only pairing seems to be Spike these days since the episodes keep pushing it. AJ/Rarity fell off the map and Fluttershy/Rarity never caught interest, despite being close friends in the show. Semicolon's separate two independent clauses.

Stick a period in between where you think a semicolon might go and make two sentences out of one. Does each sentence have a noun and a subject? Then you've got two independent clauses. If the two sentences go really well together, then use the semicolon.
