So, bronies, I'm on the unicorn horns (or evil caribou antlers) of a dilemma. I'm chugging away at a fanfic, and it looks like this weekend I'll be able to finish up the first third of it. Should I start putting it out there? My initial instinct was to wait until it was all done, but I feel like now I might want to finish a bit more, then start throwing out chapters.

But THAT means that if people really like it, they'll have to wait longer for it all to get done. If I held off posting it until it was finished, no one would see it until then, but when it finally did appear I wouldn't have to keep anyone waiting.

I have drawn Trixie before, but not that picture. I plucked it off of DeviantArt. Now and then I'll find hilarious things on there of Trixie. Some are really good, others not so good. Yeah... Out of the six stories I have on EQD, only three stories have enough ratings for a Star tag (One involves light shipping, one is Docto Whoof and the other is a short Grimdark). One five star and two four stars (although the grimdark one has yet to receive it's tag, since it probably just got the tenth rating).

Yeah, it's a bit of an ego trip but there you have it. Authors in general like to be vindicated for their work, or at least receive constructive criticism so that they can realize and learn from their mistakes until they can produce a piece that vindicates everything leading up to it.
