Yeah, I tried messing around with the pen tool, then I got a really crappy sketch from somewhere, and started tracing it with the pen tool. I gotten used to it fairly quickly.

It's a very time-consuming method, but the lines are smooth and clear. It's mostly used for vectoring, inking, and repairing broken lines.

It's good fir inking/tracing if you don't have a tablet, like me.

The mane difference is that pony threads on /co/ actually discuss the show most of the time, while pony threads on /b/ discuss everything (including idle chatting, verbal dueling with trolls or just some random non-pony topics) while posting and sharing pony pictures.

/co/ and /b/ pony threads are not the opposite, they are just different kind of threads for different kind of purposes.

I am just jumping in to this discussion.
I feel that /b/ threads are necessary for recruitment of new members of the fandom, and after spending their due time there they migrate here. (well, that's what I did)
When posting stories, /b/ supplies very little feedback when compared to /co/ so I rarely visit them anymore. However I think that may be in part due to the fact that the /b/ threads move much faster than the /co/ threads and posts are easily lost. I know some people do not like reading fanfiction, and since that has quickly become my main source of pony entertainment it just seems like /co/ is better for me, since there are more stories posted here.

Also, just adding my opinion in here, tripfriends are A Okay in my books, if they want to be recognised more power to them

People ignore the "topic" (/b/ has not topic) and talk about each other. Normally, it implies praise/support/interest in the other's life and they get into a feedback loop of talking and responding to each other.

People like /co/ demand the topic to be ponies. This the cultural differences leading to a part of the anomosity between /co/ and a couple of the other websites.

/co/ is moderated. You need to speak about the show here whether you like it or not. /b/ on the other hand is (sortof) not moderated, so you can do /b/rоny stuff and talk about things you want. Yep, the thread gets imagecapped in 30 minutes, yep, you can occasionally be banned for two week and get thread 404'd, but another one pops up and the conversation just keeps rolling.

So, naturally, people who want to discuss the actual show gather on /co/ most of the time.
