You know, there's a possibility that pony mind flayers could exist. The rites to both are owned by hasbro, so you know, same world n' shit.

But going into more detail... mindflayers procreate by crapping out a bunch of tadpoles into a pool of brine. This is often the pool of brine the elder brain lives in, but not necessary. Trixie didn't have what it took to take on the space bear though, although it did get dropped off right next to her caravan in the middle of the night. She did give it a try though.
