Fic request

I know there's been quite a few "Human appears in Equestria" fics ranging from "interesting take on someone trying to adjust to life in a foreign, debatably more wholesome society while looking for a way back" to "THINLY VEILED SELF INSERT GETS SHIPPED WITH EVERY CHARACTER LOLZ." What I'd like to see, however, is someone attempt the opposite.
Take one or more of the six leads, and transpose them from Equestria to the human world. Perhaps they show up in the home of someone who may or may not have any level of awareness of the show, or perhaps they just appear somewhere random without warning and are left to fend for themselves, in both cases trying to return home. From that point, if done well, there's a lot of opportunity for a genuinely intriguing narrative about said pony trying to adjust to life in a world that is very different and perhaps rather dystopian compared to Equestria, especially if (contrary to many past fics) the character is NOT turned to a human in the process. Bonus points if the character discovers the existence of FiM, prompting questions of whether or not all their experiences up to this point have been real or fictional, or if their actions and fate are truly their own and not dictated by the show's writers. It'd probably be easiest with Twilight given her analytical and occasionally skeptical nature.
I'd write it myself, but I'm not exactly the best writer; there's much better authors frequenting these threads who could do a far superior job. Any takers? |
