One under-appreciated element of this episode was the new influx of likable male characters. Chief Thunderhooves and Sheriff Silver Star were pretty cool, not to mention several male background ponies like the saltoholic, the bartender, and the "horse-drawn carriage" ponies.

You know how just about evryone here has some sort of waifu? When one thinks about it, none of them would be very good in a relationship.

Dash: Would likley put her problems and career before you. She will also often have a problem with empathy, maybe not understanding your problems.

Pinky: Will likley ruin your economy with her multitude of parties and she will never be able to take any situation seriously.

Rarity: She will likley not even acknowledge your problems and will always nag you to do what she wants or agree with her.

Fluttershy: Will she will never be the problem, you will always get have her friends watching you like a hawk and if you ever got into a fight expect them to completly turn her against you.

Twilight: Actually I can't find anything that bad about her. She might try to control your relationship to a great degree, but she won't do it for personal gain.

Spike: A bit lazy and unmotivated. Don't expect him to get a raise soon or further his career, you will likley be the sole pillar of your relationship's economy. On the plus side he will constantly give you gifts and will likley help you with your problems.

Derpy: An airhead, she will likley do stuff you will come to regret her doing, she will however care for you alot and will always be there for you.

Now these are of course only how they appear in the show, and Spike is yet the only one to have even a crush on someone. And from experience I know that people often treat their loved ones different than their relationship, so I'm probably (hopefully) completly wrong.

Celestia is the worst ruler ever. Twilight was right there with Spike, could've had Celestia immediately informed of the situation so she could settle it. Twilight never even thought of doing so, likely because she knows Celestia wouldn't have done anything anyway.

Twilight is actually a Horcrux made by Celestia as a vain attempt to replace Luna, if worst came to worst upon her return and Celestia needed to kill her sister for good. Personally I thought the intro was great but things went a bit downhill and it ended on a low (in terms of entertainment alone) note. Pinkies song wasn't as good as some of the others in the show, and I would've liked to keep the two "Adults" in the episode, the Sheriff and the Buffalo leader out of it, seems like they were shoehorned in at the last moment.
