03/19/11(Sat)06:22 No.24412268It's winter wrap up day. It's a time when ponies find their place within their society and help to clean up winter and usher forth the spring. That's all well and good for ponies, but what about us humans. Seasons, fortunately, change for themselves without our help so how are we to celebrate Winter Wrap Up?
It's too late to think about it now, but an idea has occured to me that this could be an opportunity for us bronies to get together and commit to a large scale community service project within are respected areas. It's pretty much in the spirit of the holiday to make this world a brighter place, it's a gives us a chance to meet new friends, we'll feel good about finding a small place within society, and afterwards we have an excuse to party after a job well done.
There's no way to organize such a thing right now, but we should keep it in mind for next year. Let me know what you think.
For now, we can still embody the spirit of Winter Wrap Up through small, ad hoc, community service contributions. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter or a Mission, pick up litter, or what have you and after wards go have a good time with your friends and get smashed (if that's to your liking.) |
