Episode 7-Dragonshy

Okay, I'm pumped, a Fluttershy episode. Okay, angel bunny had better learn some fucking respect and gratitude. I really dont like that rabbit now. They are doing Fluttershy justice so far, it's just sweet to watch her try to become loud. I caught that little nod to previous gens with that freeze of Pinkie stood in front of her, talking about balloons. The bits without Fluttershy just seem to be little gags, i was kind of hoping it would be a bit more relevant, I dont know how though. Hmmmmmmm, I was really hoping they wouldn't paint Fluttershy as a coward, just timid and SHY. Rainbow Dash had better step the fuck off, that avalanche was caused by all of them. Okay, that Pinkie moment was golden, but maybe tone down the silly costumes if they want us to take her more seriously. And I'm complete, Fluttershy getting her fucking bitch on with that dragon was just inspirational. I can't believe she can somehow shout soothingly. "But that rainbow one kicked me", perfect. Then, of course, the irony at the ending regards to RD. A great episode, it was very funny, it had a good message and of course the strong woman Fluttershy just made me cream myself. Episode 8-Look Before you Sleep

Okay, the obvious tension between these two characters is suddenly thrust upon us, id never seen this before, but it makes sense. Okay, so far, its just been Rarity and Applejack exchanging little fuck yous under Twilights nose. cute, but where does it take us? Some light gags continued throughout. Twilight is being unnaturally stupid today, is this supposedly her not understanding friendship. "I was just about to but you interrupted me" zing. It's going a bit long without much development, they are just fighting while Twilight acts dumb. Maybe they should escalate it a bit quicker. Okay, both in bed huh? So all that porn has some inspiration to draw on. Alright, the conflict resolution based on teamwork that also requires them to respect each others way of doing things seems a bit detached, maybe forced. All quite lighthearted. The episode was quite funny, but it dragged more than the other ones, maybe its because the situation just didnt change for the entire episode, save the tree bit. I dont know, it just wasnt as memorable as the other ones so far

I was watching that episode by myself, the ending came, I smiled because the episode was great, then headed to the pony thread. Episode 9-Bridle Gossip

Okay, this is setting up to be a monster episode again. Oh, no, it's another villain, perhaps another pony's nemesis. Oh, its going to be an episode about accepting different cultures and customs, im callin it right now. Pinkie's song is especially good today. Thank you for confirming my absolute genius prediction twilight, i know im right. Applebloom is just adorable, these animators are fantastic, truly surprised by how effective the stylization is. It was funny, it was mature and well animated. The morale isnt forced and the characters are deeper than just the archetypes they adhere to. This episode is definitely my favourite, just because of the novelty of it; flutterguy, AJ riding RD and having all of them together to just be well written, rather than having their own episodes. Episode 10-Swarm of the century

Most of the time they are messing around learning about the parasprites, the other half they are each using their own methods to clear the problem. Im not sure what a good balance would be, but it feels like it goes on too long, rather than them trusting Pinkie Pie. Not enough variation. Its carried by light gags, some cuteness, especially from Fluttershy, but it doesnt redeem it. Theres simply not enough little moments that i expect from this show by now to hold my interest. Too much linear writing. I cant quite explain it, theres simply too much faffing. Pinkie has gone up in the ranking though

The animating felt really poorly done and most of the episode wasn't very funny until Rarity was put into the spotlight (exception being man-Spike, but even that was funnier in the screenshots than in action). Episode 11-Winter Wrap Up

Spike is on form today. "You're not mommy" oh, you card. Now this is more like it, introduce the concept early on, then carry it on without fucking around reminding me whats going on all the time (im more talking about other shows, not MLP on that point). Pony eating carrots with a green vest haha. RD and AJ are leaders, but not Fluttershy? Now that just seems a bit off really. Winter wrap up song. I had to play the whole thing through again, it was just fucking brilliant. Spectacular, and it didnt feel like it went on too long. Also RD's singing voice is impressive.
