Yes, I look forward to a revised ending, or even a second part about how she got to know the ponies in Ponyville. It is fun really; it's a good explanation for why she's so shy, and does well without any "action" per se, because you convey her feelings well.

Work on that ending, and i'll be great.

As far as backgroud ponies go, I'm fond of Mister 15 Barrel Rolls. He seems like the gung-ho type who would mix well (see Partners in Crime) with Rainbow Dash.

You think I should? I don't really like writing something with a topic so similar to something that's already been written. It makes me feel like I'm competing with the other author, and that makes me feel like a douche.

Plus I haven't written fanfiction for about five years now so I'm nervous about that too. Most of my writing has been completely original, and it feels so weird to regress like this...

So everywhere I went people were ragging on the MLP people, saying they were pedophiles, and I defended you guys, saying "hey I haven't seen the show but neither have you and apparently its way better than you would expect." I was pretty confident that an audience this broad couldn't be motivated solely by a perverse sexual attraction to underaged ponies. Sure those guys exist on the fringe, but that doesnt mean the entire audience is made up of people like that. I didn't watch it because I had enough tv in my life and frankly I wasn't SO keen on the show that I felt a NEED to watch it. But TV is all reruns lately so i figured okay, time to give this show a shot.

I'm on episode 10 and I'm wondering... does it get better? I mean, its way better than the old MLP show and other "girls shows" of the past, but it really seems like... "unsophisticated," I guess? It doesn't seem like other /co/ favorite kids cartoons that crossed boundaries and found a fandom in adults (avatar, flapjack, adventure time). It's just like, a normal kid's show, pretty much exactly what you would expect from a show called "my little pony: friendship is magic"

Am I missing something? Is there better stuff coming up?

The future episodes (sans Cutie Mark Crusaders) are more humorous but a tad sloppier with lessons of the day and flow with exceptions here and there.

If you still have some saintly patience left in your bones, skip to Fall Weathered Friends, Suited for Success, and Sonic Rainboom. If you aren't won over, you can forget about watching the series on anything more than "Oh it's on okay sure I have half an hour to kill" or on a whim of boredom.

Manly Spike delivered the testosterone fix this show sorely needed for a long, long time. I love all the femme ponies and lesbian jollies, but a little bit of ultra-manly is needed once in a blue moon to keep the male audience from their balls dropping off and rolling down the street.

Fans can argue that Big Macintosh filled that void, but the truth is, he's just a huge pussy. Kicked his own ass on the farm and got hurt, Applejack playfully pushes him, then he cringes in pain like a little bitch. His one-liners got stale episodes ago and his stereotypical hick vibe is painful to endure. He also promised to walk around in drag wearing a girdle if he lost a bet in episode 3. What a fucking disgrace.

I could go without any males in the whole show as long as Spike gets a Gaston moment every now and then.
