Second episode is extremely rushed because they're trying to resolve the major plot points established in the first episode. It's the one least indicative of what the rest of the show is like.

It still has some good moments, but I rank it at or near the bottom tier.

I like ALL ponies except Fluttershy. Every other pony has made me life FS has never accomplished this task and since this show should be funny that makes her the weakest character. The problem is the people that think Fluttershy is the best thing since sliced bread is that they are either Hipsters OR they are the kind of people that laugh at a baby eating spaghetti and making a mess. One day, a human was hiking down the trail in the woods, minding his own business and enjoying the splendor of nature.
Just then a large, four legged winged creature sprang from the woods. The human was taken aback by the sight.
"A griffon!" he said to himself.
Before he could evaluate the situation further, the griffon spoke.
"Puny human, I shall have you for dinner!"
The griffon jolted forward, extending it's claws. The man jumped back, narrowly avoiding an untimely demise, only to fall back onto a rock, knocking himself unconscious. When he awoke, he found himself in a nice little cottage surrounded by many more mythical beasts. He was in an excessively bright dress.
"More tea, Admiral Snuggles?"

I often try to get people to write more of these, and i am always disappointed when nobody does.

So today I did some writing and made some great progress overall, but I find I'm breaking a critical rule: No OCs.

The second act to my story is setup to allow the principal ponies discover things about themselves before forcing them to make some concessions. I'm not happy with parts of the draft, but after seeing my previous chapter get a lot better with a second revision, I'm not so afraid of what will happen after I give it a second reading.

I just got done with a part that's focused on Fluttershy and I'm really happy with the potential it shows.
