part 12-
Soon, a guard led him out into the grounds of the palace, to find his guardian, one Twilight Sparkle. All of the unicorns dropped their books and conversation to watch the spectacle. A strange day for many of them, no dragon of any size had ever been in Canterlot. Soon the news rippled through the palace, and everyone was flocking to see the small dragon baby meandering through the park, including Proudhoof. He had followed the crowd to find the dragon, and he definitely found him. He lurked in the crowd, waiting for his personal escort to push away another over eager observer. The guard moved to block a green haired pony who gotten too close. Now.
Spike hadn’t like the attention before, but now he was getting used to it. It felt good to be the centre of attention, not running from guards or cowering from gigantic war queens. He relaxed. The sound of rapid hooves behind him set him on edge again. He turned. The light blue stallion was charging at him, wearing a gruesome looking blade attached to a helmet. As the stallion ran at him, he managed to make one word out in the chaos, ‘Meat’. Spike closed his eyes, his life of one whole day was about to come to a messy end at the hooves of a very disturbed pony. He flinched, preparing for the cold feel of metal within his fleshy stomach, but nothing happened, just the light sound of crackling, similar to earlier when the huge pony had used her horn. He opened his eyes. The Light blue stallion was flailing in mid-Air, surrounded by a bubble of sparkling motes and magic energy. He looked for his saviour. At the forefront of the crowd, stood a purple coated unicorn, with streaks in her mane and a grimace of effort on her face. The guard stood, ready to apprehend the flailing pony, and nodded to Twilight. . |
