Three days ago, the ship was running along at it’s normal mundane, work-a-day pace. Boring, predictable, and about exciting as a potato with no butter. In the last two days, things on the ED00-d1Gallop science vessel had become anything but boring. In their survey of the sector 34n-95, the communications officer had discovered a distress beacon near an ice cluster. Never one to turn down a pony in need, Captain Twilight ordered the ship to divert it’s course to investigate. The rescue party’s report on their search of the stranded ship was not a very uplifting one. The crew was dead (later autopsy reports concluded that they had for whatever reason starved and dehydrated), and the ships computers were damaged, the memory banks blank. The one piece of positive news was the discovery of a few survivors. Locked away in the status pods, healthy and safe, were three children. It was apparent that they been hidden away before the mysterious condition had killed the crew. |
