Actually, that would be the most logical answer. Scoot shares the same mane style as RD, and has a go-to attitude like RD. If not related, they must somehow be connected in some other way, and being a speedster coach or trainer would make a lot of sense.

After this Friday's episode, I wouldn't be sure about anymore of my own guesses. Never would of thought Rarity had a little sister, and when they introduced Scoot, looking and acting the way she did. Everyone had the same idea that Scoot MUST be related to RD somehow.

Only means...implying and assumptions be damned. I'm gonna have to just wait and see.
