Yay. I've been refreshing and looking for the Pony thread. I didn't want to make one in fear of there actually already being one and getting in trouble.

I'm up to episode 7. Up to now, I noticed that only in the first episode do the ponies actually make the hoof walking sound (like the sound of two coconuts being knocked together in that Monty Python's Holy Grail). I think it's for the best, to be honest, that sound kind of bothered me to begin with.

It kind of bothers me how they dismissed the Rainbow Dash's griffin friend. She was made up to be mean, a bully, and a thief, but I really do feel that she was setup during Pinkie Pie's party.At the very least, it was a huge misunderstanding that Rainbow really made up all the pranks and that coincidentally the griffin fell for all of them. It's kind of sad that they weren't able to make her a friend in the end.

It's not on a computer yet. When I write, I find the computer distracting and I get more done when I whip out a clipboard and pad and write it out.

It's not done, but basically it starts with most of the principal cast on Twilight's balloon flying really high, which sorta terrifies Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie is thrilled to the point of annoying Dash, who is free to speed on ahead, but opts to stick with her buddies. Meanwhile, Rarity and Twilight take turns navigating the balloon.

It's ultimately going to focus on Pinkie causing mayhem for the bakers who are working to prepare goodies for the visitors. I'm debating whether to add an OC unicorn/pastery chef who moves things around the bakery, but I'm uncomfortable with creating a full-on character and might stick to making it a backgrounder.

Those are some of the ideas I've got. I don't want to call them awesome or anything yet - it's a first draft, and pretty rough, but I haven't felt this sense of satisfaction writing in ages.
