Hasbro will create a new design inline with the new characters, who have developed into a style of their own. Season 2: Faust might create tighter arcs instead of the season-long Gala arc. Hasbro will still ask her to produce stories that involve some of the toys they have in the pipe. Internally, Hasbro will want to understand why Ponies has such a following outside their demographic.

As suggested, I think she'll want to break it down into smaller arcs. To imply that the series doesn't have plots ignores that they have had plots so far. That said, the newer shows are starting to get more imaginative.

This would be a "nice-to-have", as fans of the show who don't mind the CMC would get two shows to look forward to. Practically speaking, this won't happen unless it's in the form of a 5 minute lead-up to the main feature, and due to the limitations of the programming block, it's simply not going to happen. More likely is that the CMC's will find their way and the arc will end, but if the writers do that, it could affect syndication and it removes a major motivation for the characters to do what they do. The future of the CMC's are uncertain at this point :) |
