>>23801262 I do see the points, and I even agree with those reasons. But you seem to confuse bad tripfag actions with all tripfags. Which is why I don't bring personal life into discussion, it's off-topic and no one cares. I have a trip because I supplied, and continue to do so, occasional original content. I considered it a good idea to don a tripcode for discussion of those contents so people know they were talking to the creator (would have done a simple name, but didn't know you could do that without a code!). I considered dropping it a few times when I'm not supplying, but a few anons have complimented my posts, so I left it up. *shrug* MLP tripfags, for the most part, have reason to be fagging trips.
But do you know what this discussion is? Well, I'll tell you what it's not: ponies. The remainder of this post will now be dedicated to ponies, because discussing tripfags is boring.
>>23801297 CMC is generally disliked because the abundance of side characters were plainly uninteresting cliches. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon being the worst offender "bully" characters that show up in every single goddamn kids show. And Peppermint Twist had no redeeming value, like Snips and Snails. Every moment they hogged screen time was a moment of boring, predictable plot and dialog.
While I don't think the episode was bad, it's nestled in between much, much better and more original content. The main cast or other side characters like Applebloom are plainly more interesting and entertaining. We want to spend our time with them over kid show cliches.
I think every reasonable fan accepts the episode as something necessary and very relateable for the target demograph, but we prefer everything else over it. |
