Alright, Samboga if you're still here I got some comments on the fic.

First of all, overall awesome. But there are some concerns.

Immediately after the sex, they don't talk about it again. Fair enough, that seems like a very reasonable thing to happen.

But then they continue to not talk about it. As far as the fic goes, they never do. I suppose it's a possibility, but I as a reader was pretty interested in hearing more about Applejack's motivation, and I didn't really get that.

You also have good sequel fodder right here. I'd totally be your best friend if you'd write one.

Hmm, let me consider this.
I am not sure I can sad EqD made commenting worse. I found it's allowed me to continue to see new comments on stories that have long sense lost any comments on before. Maybe even Google Docs. I really like EqD because it's given a place for people to comment when the story isn't relevant to the thread. I've gathered up some extra remarks that way. What's even better, all in one space at EqD! No searching through archives. Some people also commented to me the first day I post updates, in the google chat.

Overall, I'd say that this has improved.

The Friend Offs produce more OC than comments. We get a HUGE RUSH of new content and pictures. And the deluge makes commenting hard. I think it was a neat trick to get extra fanart, but never thought it was for the comments. Same with ship offs.

The awards and five favorite fics aren't relative in my opinion. 5 faves weren't well organized and subsided with regular conversation, the awards was. . . I'm not touching that.

I can't comment on the state of most of the fiction coming in. Truth be told, time constraints limit how much of that content I can consume. By keeping my ear to the ground, though, I've enjoyed everything I sat down to actually read. Hacks can be expected though, I think I saw a huge wave of new writers the past two weeks. I actually worried a little bit that that OC in fics would outweight the people consuming it.

IMO, I agree. The feedback system isn't . . . perfect really. There are too many places to give feed back, at this time, and the majority of people are unmotivated to respond.

But I just accept that as the name of the game. I think the comments I have received have been adequate in most of my stories. They've really encouraged me to keep going. After all, I am doing this for fun, not professional critique.

Well, you didn't set it up on Big Mac's side, but since we didn't get much in the way of Applejack's, I personally think it's workable to make it a more permanent thing, you would just have to use her as the way to do it. If it were me, that'd be enough for a story idea right there. "How do I get X to work" is how a lot of my story ideas get started.

On that note, you're the only other person who's written Applemac that I thought was very good. I'm pretty desperate for *somebody* besides me to write genuine Applemac that isn't terrible. Half the fun of reading for me is being surprised, and I'm not surprised when I read things I wrote for obvious reasons.

I was writing stuff elsewhere on the internet, and I received no comments from people all the time I was writing it. But when I stopped becuase I thought noone was reading it, I suddenly had all these people messaging me asking me why I stopped.

So the tl;dr is this - don't count your comments. You might have hundreds of people reading your stuff that just can't be bothered to comment or are commenting-averse for whatever reason.

Just this evening I had a pony dream, actually.

I was posting to the usual pony thread on /co/, but there was a notice at the top that said something like "CELESTIA IS THE NEW MOD" and it had a silhouette of her.

If anyone posted porn, or said anything critical of Celestia, Twilight or (for some reason) Big Mac, the post was deleted. And so were they. Celestia would delete that person from reality along with their post.

Despite this, a lot of people kept spamming "TWILIGHT SUCKS" and getting deleted. Celestia made a mod post saying she had noticed the suicide rate had gone up.

It was weird.

I know you're gonna whine that it's a false analogy, but think about it. The English language is full of subtlety. Often the only thing separating two completely different meanings of a sentence is the way it is spoken. If everything you read in a book is simply "he said she said," there's a lot lost in the transition from the page to your mind's ear.

Marblemane was a palace guardian for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the castle of Princess Celestia and he said to dad "I want to be on the castle daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY PARASPRITES"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the dungeon of the castle he knew there were parasprites.
"This is Spike" the grammaphone crackered. "You must fight the parasprites!"
So Marblemane gotted his unicron horn and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the parasprites
"I will shoot at him" said the cybersprite and he fired the friendship missiles. John magicaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the parasprites" he shouted
