Just watched the latest episode "Sonic Rainboom".

Rarity says that she is sorry she ruined the competition. - But she did'nt ruin it. Everyone enjoyed it up until the accident.

The lesson she learned was to keep her hoofs on the ground. And to be their for her friends. The first lesson is unrelated, as nothing bad came from her participation. And she was there for Dash, except she was also competing?

At first I figured that it was related to the Icaros-myth, but the lesson there was to listen to your elders. Since Rarity was not warned of flying to high, this moral is also inapplicable.

I know it is a cartoon about ponies, but why try and force a moral onto a story, when the moral might just as well be: "shit happens"?

Aaaaaactually, I had a reeeeally weird idea for Severing.

Mike has an extra 7th element, which makes him another death on Twilight's list. After Fluttershy, Spike, and he all realize what's going on he attempts to kill Twilight himself, but she ends up killing him anyways. In Reconnection his elemental spirit tells him he's getting revived, along with giving him something to kill Twilight with. As much as he wants to, he withholds bluntly gunning down Twilight and helps Pinkie Pie gather everyone else.
I have NOTHING written down yet, this is only ideas.

Now I just realized I haven't been keeping up with Reconnections. Off to read.
