So, I chanced upon "Cupcakes" and actually read it. I have never been one for fanfiction, but for some reason the start of this one appealed to me, so I read it. Little did I know what was to come. I have quite a vivid imagination and tend to get lost in what I am reading (think Never Ending Story vivid). What the fuck guys? I think I am ruined for life. Rainbow Dash is my favorite and was just raped in front of my eyes. I only kept reading because 1. it was like a trainwreck you can't look away from and 2. I was hoping for some glimmer of hope...it never came. After reading I promptly threw up and took a nice long drive to clear my head. I have been twitchy all day from this. Probably gonna have nightmares too.

How large is the production team (animators/tds/storyboard/etc) ? How long is production time for each episode?

I've worked on game cinematic where it can be two to 8 months depending how long the cut-scenes are. I don't know much about tv side of animation. I wanted to apply for the new avatar series a while ago, but I honestly didn't know much about a tv production pipeline.

I think the human versions are pretty fun, most of the time. I actually am a big fan of that piece you posted (the one that so many people seem to hate). I did one human drawing, I posted it a couple months back - Rarity and Pinkie With Curses.

As for how I got onto the show, I was... just offered a job on it, since I was working at the studio. I was attracted to the change in pipeline (with experienced animators doing layout - so the animators would have more to work with). To "make animation good again".

There's a few things that can help.

Using Firefox? Get the Greasemonkey plugin, then google 4chanX. It's a script extension for Greasemonkey. Opens up a lot of neat things like a pop-up window for replying to posts, show posts that reference a particular post, click images to load that image in the current frame instead of a new window, etc.

Then get /b/ackwash reloaded. I don't know what it does but get it anyways.
