1. Too unassertive to yell for Rainbow Dash, but didn't care when Dash was critiquing her,
2. Talked up Dash in front of the bully Pegasi, and didn't care that they laughed,

In Feeling Pinkie Keen, she also got unscared enough to fly the frogs to the bog. She didn't flip her lid when the frog couldn't keep up and got left behind with the Hydra. (Also confirmed as former companion of the Doctor: "I'm so sorry.") She Hopped, Skipped, and Jumped across the gap.

She's also great at sewing, but not so much at fashion itself.

My theory: she was a front-line medic during the Dragon War, and sewed up a LOT of wounded male Ponies. (This also explains the sex ratio.) She's got PTSD, which is mostly nightmares, depression, and freezing up, not flipping out on sudden noises like the media portray.

Magic is a science in Equestria. Cloudsdale was easily the coolest location featured in FiM universe yet, and Weather Factory was no exception. I think it lends a lot of credence to the idea that pegasus really are the most powerful, elite race in the poni world.
