First episode isn't great. It's just sort of an intro.

Episde 3 is where stuff picks up and we get character development. One of the main reasons I like this show is because the characters are anything but one dimentional - A lot of times, the strife comes from the main group of friends themselves.

They give every character their time to shine, but at the same time, they show their flaws.

Unfortunately any time these flaws are show, /co/, as fickle as they are, immediately turn their hate towards that character because how dare their waifu do anything that isn't perfect.

There are lot of reason. One can look at this in a generational viewpoint. Were the kids from the 90s who are now adults in college were impressed by shows that both Lauren and her husband Craig worked on and that could be their reason to watch.

Another would be bandwagon effect. Where person A tells person B that this show is good. So when person B views it himself he is impressed and the it goes down a line were everybody knows about and agrees that it is something to be view positively at.

But who knows. The real issue at hand is the stigma and the perception it lays on to people when others see men like themselves participating in stuff normally reserve for either a younger and more feminine group. I think most MLP fans here should agree that the trolling was inevitable not because this is 4chan but, what MLP represents perceptional to many people.

Lately, I've been thinking more and more about MLP. It worries me. One question I am trying to answer myself, I want to know what you guys think.

Would you rather:
A. Be transported to Equestria (either canonical or human version, I'd like to have hands, personally) and live out the rest of your life in peace, happiness and prosperity
B. Fight and die in a revolution so that our own world can become as peaceful and prosperous as Equestria, so that everyone can enjoy it.

Here's the best case scenario as far as pony toys go:

The singles for the main six sell like hotcakes. A few other minor characters and toys sell okay (stuff like Twilight's balloon and Cheerilee, even though her buttmark is wrong). Almost nobody buys the shitty recolors and OCs.

Hasbro finally wises up to the fact that people are getting the toys because they like the show and not vice versa.

This will never happen but I can dream.
