First, Rarity is not a Princess. That alone invalidates the argument. But let's go further.

Next, Earth Ponies have superior strength, and yet Rarity with wings is just another high-flying lightweight, assuming she gets hollow bones as part of the deal.

Finally, Earth Ponies often have special inherent talents. Pinkie Pie is a prophetess, and Applejack has a prehensile tail.
