For the most part, that is true. Though writers are just as much an artist as anyone. New writers are incredibly fragile and typically have the farthest to go to improve. Too much negative without positive will stop a lot from posting more. Like I think Dino-Fag's confidence has been thoroughly shattered from pursuing more.

Myself, personally, I'm not sure I want to join that guild thing. It's fanfiction. I DO try to do my best work for the people here, but getting criticism of the flaws, no matter how constructive, is like work for me and takes out the fun. NOT saying I don't reserve a place for that, but that style criticism I'll look for when I'm trying to publish a story

I really like it. It's cute and captures the characters personalities quite well; How Fluttershy's anger or frustration peeks through her shy and quite nature, and Rainbow Dash's obnoxious and pushy ways. The part where they first meet by the creek was adorable, and I like how you made the her voice trail off in the text. Again, you captured Dash's character so well when she mishears her name. In many ways it follows the actual show's formula.

The ONLY thing that bothers me is that you changed Fluttershy's name to Flutterby, even though it is an important part of the story, and the fact that it changes at the end (subtly). I would just like to know the motivation, and where it came from.

There are several times in the opening paragraphs (before the mayor speech) where Flutterby is called Fluttershy.
Other than that I thought it was cute and the interaction of the fillies was suited them well.
I would have liked the learning to fly section being longer, maybe an explanation of why Flutterby hadn't already learned how to fly and perhaps panicking when she fly over the edge (only to be reassured by Dash until she realises that she has control over the situation).

I really like Stuck so far. Except for the one line at the end of Chapter 3.
Not even for the fourth wall breaking - hell, that's practically expected given the plotline. I just specifically disliked how "Mark looks at you". It's a purely visual gag in a written medium and doesn't work for me. If it were animation, sure, but in fanfiction it doesn't work.
Running off on a tangent, I also disliked it when fics reference Pinkie 'reaching offscreen', or other mannerisms that try to imply it's being animated. It makes it very apparent that it's trying to be something it's not and pulls me out of the story for a moment.

But then again I don't mind more vague or write-related gags. Pinkie mentioning she feels watched usually makes me crack a smile.

It's just a small but aggravate complaint I felt the need to voice. Still looking forward to the rest. 8/10 would read more.

Nupe. It was a what-if scenario, where Celestia and Luna abdicated their powers to Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. In the "real world", Dash and Twilight were apparently an item together, with AJ having a huge crush on Dash (unrequited love probably), which made her bitter and refuse the spell that would have made the mane cast immortal for all time. So she was kinda being a bit of a bluh bluh huge bitch by punishing her friends to watch her grow old and die because she couldn't get it on with the one pony she was in love with. Anywho, it ends with AJ just demanding to go home, where she crawls into bed and dies, 'waking up' in the afterlife where everything she ever wanted happened, just how Twilight said the afterlife was when AJ inquired after she was teleported outside of Canterlot.

It's moreso depressing than sad, really. Though I guess it could be both.

It's one of those Chekov's thingies. If you think about it, Twilight mentioning Pony Heaven is barely touched on and it doesn't really add much to the story at that point, besides random commentary. I remember thinking at the time that it was odd that Twilight would explain it so specifically like that.

That's because it's there SOLELY as a setup to the final part of the story, where suddenly Applejack gets everything she ever wanted, and nothing bad will ever happen to her, forever. The last line is even meant to call back to Twilight's description.
