The last ep was about Celestia brain washing her peasants with religion. Pinkie Pie will soon turn up dead and she shall be a martyr for a State sponsored religion..

Lotta Celestia in this thread so I thought I'd share a thought

It's been stated by word of god that Celestia combines aspects of all three types of ponies- earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns. While this hasn't been obvious, when you think about the attributes of each, Celestia has:

The magic of a unicorn
The flight and speed of a pegasus
The strength and endurance of an earth pony

...what's more, considering her magic powers and the way she flies like a jet, all of the above may be OMGHAX levels.

Combine that with her canon personality (not a tyrant but seemingly pretty nice) and her solar association, then we're basically looking at the pony counterpart of Superman.

And I think that's pretty damn awesome meself.

I felt the same way about Trixie for the longest time. Much to my great delight though, I've been seeing a lot of other people giving her affection of late. It used to just be me requesting art of Trixie, or stories, or bringing her up at all. Now I'm not so lonely in that regard. I love Trixie so much too, so you can imagine how happy I am to see her getting loved by others after such a long period of hatred from the fanbase to her character.

And no, its not like barney, barney looses any semblance of quality once you go beyond the target age bracket, similar to any of the land before time sequals. MLP:FiM IS targeted at little girls (though not so young as you were thinking), but it is also desighned so that parents and other family can enjoy it beside them. Again using barney as an example, if I were to watch barney with a young child i was watching, I would get zero entertainment value from it. MLP however is quite entertaining, enouph that i can watch it on my own.

Yeah they teach you in art college, to just draw, really loose and sketchy and if it's not working, get a new piece of paper, and try again.... if needed, trace the parts that work, and fix the parts that don't. It takes the pressure off if you can just draw, go "okay that one sucks ass", then start a new sketch, rather than just working one to death or erasing the heck out of it.
