>multiple threads Gentlmen, I have
~*A MODEST PROPOSAL*~
As you may well know, currently there is a problem with our system of General Threads. At the end of each General, multiple eager, enterprising bronies will often spring into action to create the new General, causing several threads to spring up at once. This causes much confusion among us bronies, as we do not know which potential General Thread to post in, and it creates much butthurt amongst our brethren the /co/mrades, as it appears that we are spamming them.
~ I propose that we switch to an automated service to create each new General Thread upon the end of the previous General (as defined by 300+ posts and 150 images), with the only human interaction being to solve the Captcha for the system. ~
Hear me out: 1, there would be an end to the inflighting, flamewars and bruised egos that result over arguments about which thread is more worthy of being a General. 2, resources would be better consolidated into a single thread, allowing a greater ease of collaboration between the drawfriends, writefriends, and other contributing bronies of our community. 3, there would be an end to False Flag Operations. No longer could trolls spam the front page with ponies and pin the blame on us, as it would be readily apparent to all that their threads are NOT Generals. 4, we already have an external website which runs scripts, so writing and implementing a new script for this behavior would not be so difficult a change.
Please consider and please respond. There's nothing that I hate more than being ignored by my fellow bronies. |
