It makes sense in magical ponyland but it doesn't make sense in the real world. We attempt to explain everything we come across and hampering our inquisitive minds would go directly against our human nature.

The only apt comparison I can think of for the moral of this show is gravity. We still do not have a clear explanation for why gravity exists and works in our universe, however we see it all around us and so we believe that it's true. However that still doesn't mean that we won't just forget about it. No we'll keep trying to find out why just like we've always done.
