Dash was in the top three when I first watched it but now she is my least favorite of the six.

The only real changes I've had were Pinkie Pie from episode 1 to 2 and Rainbow Dash slowly going down the ranks as she continues to be shown as kind of a bitch.

I'm working on a new story I hope to have done by Monday. It turns out it is much bigger than the original conception. I'm only 1/3 of the way done. And I am unsure of how that makes me feel.

So I'm just going to throw the first act against the wall and see if anything sticks. I won't give a synopsis. But I will say I'm taking elements from a variety of sources: Romance in the Stone, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, The Last King of Scotland, Indiana Jones, maybe a bit of the Matrix, and others I haven't gotten to yet.

Well, aside from the fact that it appeals to the childlike innocence that remains buried deep in our minds, the characters are solid, the animation is fluid, and the plot, while a bit forced in some aspects, still manages to catch our attention and make us want to watch the episode.

Long story short, it's one of those "human stumbles into Equestria" type deals. Since I am completely inept at coming up with a decent female character, I fused the background ideas of both Nathan and Knig/tg/uy to make the main character. I've also asked about using peoples' OCs to flesh out the world. Not so much as party members, but as the everyday folk who live and operate in the world. Twilight's been my favorite the entire series so far. So just has so many cute things about her and she is usually the most sensible of the group. The only major shift was Rarity. I didn't really like her that much at the beginning, but now that she finally got an episode focusing on her, my opinion has changed and she has risen.

Also, geez all you drawfriends can get things up so fast, takes me a whole day to get something up that is half the quality of everyone elses. I guess practice makes perfect.

Episode 1. I started out liking Twilight, adoring Fluttershy's intro. Pinkie Pie got an "Oh great, one of THOSE characters" reaction from me. Rainbow Dash seemed likeable. Everyone else had a level of cute but not endeared to yet.

Ticket Master: Pinkie Pie is several times funnier. Starting to see her as eccentric rather than hyper talkative. Rarity is annoying, but I still give her props for cutting off her own tail before.

Applebuck: Pinkie sky rockets to 1. AJ gets hefty boost for her silliness. Dash still looking cool.

Dragonshy: Fluttershy confirmed for d'aww tier.

Bridle Gossip: Oh my god, Applebloom is so cute.

Fall Weather Friends: Dash lowered a bit for being annoyingly competitive, AJ too for being a grouch. I still like them, though.

Art of the Dress: Rarity is elevated. Probably highest she'll get. For the lowest tier pony, I still love her so.

In the end, all the ponies get my love, Twilight and Pinkie stand just a little farther out than the rest. Twilight for her sincerity in emotions, Pinkie for being awesome.

At first if you'd ask me I would say that I was too early in the show to have a opinion. If you placed a gun near my head and asked again I'd say Fluttershy. Now It's a three way tie between Pinkie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash for second place (Luna is ALWAYS first). Fluttershy plumited ever since dragonshy. Compared to the others she is....bland....It might just be me but I find flawed characters more intresting then perfect characters (probably why I still like Dash as it seem bronies think she's shit). But her outburst in the last episode definatly reignited my love for her.

Twilight Sparkle: Think she's alright. That opinion hasn't changed.
Fluttershy: Started out disliking her, but I've warmed up to her a bit since they started using her for jokes and revealing other aspects of her character.
Pinkie Pie: Neutral to begin with, kinda like her now. Loved the pair dynamic with Spike in Fall Weather Friends and her Looney Tunes moments.
Applejack: She's always been pretty cool to me.
Rarity: My 2nd favorite next to Dash. Her snootiness is hilarious in almost every scene.

I should also give some love to Spike, Angel, Big Mac, and Granny Smith. They really shine when they get a moment. I wish I could say the same for the Cutie Crusaders, but I need to see more of them before I make a judgment.

Early on, it went Twilight, Applejack/Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity. This is like around the time of the pilot.

Right around Griffon the Brush Off, Pinkie Pie starts building up steam. A lot. By Dragonshy, I'm starting to suspect she's one of the better characters, and by Bridle Gossip, she's basically become her own category. It doesn't matter who anybody's favorite pony is, Pinkie Pie is just the best.

Rainbow Dash overtook Applejack eventually. Probably simply because I realized my favorite part of Applejack was her all sleep-deprived.

Rarity caught my attention in Dragonshy and Look Before You Sleep, but I still felt she had too little actual in-show screentime to move her very far up, but this last episode has done great for her.

I feel bad for Twilight Sparkle. I love her purple, and her NAME, and her nerdy science social retardedness, but, really, she's surrounded by other, more overpowering characters. My current ratings would be Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy.

Please note that I love all six of them, and the only characters I actually don't like on the show are Snips, those bitches from Call of the Cuite, and Twist.

If it was badly written, I wouldn't read it. He had a pretty phenomenal first chapter and his writing hasn't gone bad yet. So I'll keep reading it and commenting what I think. The truth about any and all writing is that any concept, no matter how bad, can be done well or poorly. In fact, the concept is actually vastly secondary in importance when compared to its execution.

I don't know, maybe you can write him off out of hand for the concept, which admittedly is one that's disliked for a reason (you have to create a reason WHY the audience should care about you going off on your adventure, and most writers fail to do that because they are already close to their main character and mistake their passion for something worth reading).

Blah, blah blah,

tl;dr, when it comes down to it, Lucid isn't a bad writer, and I'll continue to read things written enjoyably. I don't think it'll go Sonic fandom, because bad self-inserts will get ignored or chewed to peices.

Filling out the reports was the worst part, thought Big Mac, as he stabbed the keyboard with the stick Velcro'd to his hoof. Reliving every moment, every mistake, and everybody just milling around like it's no big deal.

The hard ball in his gut remained tense as he typed. He could have died today, he thought suddenly, and the papers would have just said "one police officer killed at the scene."

But he kept typing. Gotta do what I gotta do, he thought to himself, just gotta do it.

3am, the Jackdaw's Laugh. He was four beers into his evening meal, and just starting to feel it.

"Hey big boy, wanna talk about it?" She was a streetwalker, her makeup slathered on with a trowel.

He flashed his badge, and she vanished with a frown. Laughing, he wondered why the entire neighborhood was going downhill. Graffiti, horseshoes tied together and thrown over power lines, and drugs on every corner it seemed like some days.

He missed Ponyville. The unlocked doors, the quiet days, the sun and shade on the farm, but most of all the lack of crime and violence. He realized the wider truth of a lesson he'd learned from Paw, back when: the smaller the barrel, the fewer the bad apples.
