a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the verge of bump limit and is at the

is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.

The Mayor raised an eyebrow, glancing at the clock again. “You are precisely 2 hours and 7 minutes late, Ms. Dash,” she said, trying to avoid the edge of annoyance she felt creeping into her voice. “I sincerely hope that you weren't delayed for some reason?”

“Nah,” the younger pony replied in a bored voice. “I just had to catch up on my napping.”

Repressing a sigh, the Mayor shook her head. “Well, I hope that your... napping doesn't interfere with future appointments. Future appointments which affect our whole town's weather.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Dash waved her hoof at that. “Haven't you heard? I'm the best weather pony in a long time. I can have your sky cleared in... oh, call it 20 seconds flat!”

“Be that as it may,” the Mayor went on, “You have been given great responsibility for one so young. I hope you understand that you are depended upon by hundreds of ponies now.”

“Yes, I do,” Dash replied, still sounding bored.

A corner of the Mayor's mouth twitched in a would-be frown. She ignored it. “Very well, Miss Dash. That will be all. Now, I officially welcome you to Ponyville.” She paused. “I hope you can make friends with some of the residents. You know the old saying, friendship is magic!”

Dash raised her own eyebrows in an almost exaggerated way. “Whatever you say, lady,” she answered cautiously, unsure what to say. “Can I go now? I'm gettin' bored just sitting around like this.” Without waiting for a reply, the pegasus zipped away, leaving a rainbow trail in her wake. The Mayor sighed loudly and allowed her head to collapse onto the desk in frustration.
