a new thread. /co/ doesn't mind if we stay in
a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the brink of autosaging into 404 hell,
and is at the image limit (150 pics). Once a new one
is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.

Please only post Generals on /co/ and maybe wallpapers
on /wg/, thank you.

Obviously trolls & haters cannot be helped.

New System: When the old general thread dies, the
general thread image is to be deleted and placed
onto the new one. Old general will be archived.

Archive system can only pick up threads with the

Posting this idea again here for some extra discussion.

Do you remember, back in the day they tried to get more girls into Power Rangers by making dolls, not action figures but actual dolls, of the Pink and Yellow rangers. What if they tried the opposite with FiM, and tried to get more boys into the show by making action figures of Big Mac and other male ponies, with articulation and action features and everything. They would have silly accessories like Big Mac's clip on spring loaded apple-launcher, or push button bucking action, and other usual action figure things.

Thoughts? I know it would never happen, but what do you think of the idea? Also, why can I not find that picture of Celestia giving Twilight a Spike action figure, it's actually relevant...

I think a spinoff featuring manly stallions doing manly things all day while the wimmin-folk stay in town making dresses and gathering food would be a fascinating train wreck of a show, and a shelf-warmer of a toyline, although I would watch both shows and buy a few of the toys if they were interesting enough.

However, consider Tiny Toon Adventures. It was structured to be neither a boy's cartoon nor a girl's cartoon. It was as much a sitcom with varied plots as MLP:FiM. Considering its time period, it was remarkably progressive in its views, with three college-age girls who weren't shameless waifus. Although they had Word of God heteronormative ships with the boys, and went with them to the dances, and cheered at the football (!) games, they had some segments where the boys weren't major players, or were rarely seen.

Consider the episode with Shirley in her ballet class, or the final episode where Babs was trying to find a strong female cartoon mentor. (Too bad Slappy wasn't around yet.)

I don't remember there being many Tiny Toons toys in stores, but if I'd had the money and the access at the time, I would have bought toys, articulated or not.

The first episode established that everyone was fourteen.

But yes, TTA was great for giving the female cast some excellent moments.

It was a major mission of the writers, too. Originally the WB execs wanted Buster to be the sole star, and the writers had to fight to make Babs the co-host and not just "the hero's girlfriend." I'd argue that Babs is a much better character than Buster anyway.

The world of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic isn't too far off from any campaign you could create in Dungeons & Dragons. It would be all too easy to write a series of fantasy stories of the ponies fighting off evil demons, undead, and other evils of your choice. The potential for a great story is limitless due to all of the material we are given.

I've been wanting to write an adventure series about Trixie moving her caravan around the world of Equestria, displaying her magic shows in different towns and other curious places. It would be perpetual so the story never and has to end and could be continued as often as I like where I last left off. Trixie would be pitted against various problems she must overcome, and bumping into an Ursa Minor would have been many of the interesting perils she encountered. A quest for wine, women, fame, and fortune, worthy for The Great and Power Trixie!

Cereal Velocity crafted a story called Your Biggest Fan based roughly off that idea that I requested of him. A good read if I say so myself.
