As Rainbow Dash reared back her hind legs, ready to unleash the loud and rumbling thunder held within the cloud, Twilight mumbled something in her sleep.
"Help," she said between soft breaths, "Rainbow."
Curious to hear more, Rainbow Dash lowered her legs and made a gentle landing on the balcony.
"Too high," Twilight grumbled and winced. "Falling."
"So much for my prank," Rainbow Dash thought as she frowned.
She was pretty sure it was a bad idea to scare someone awake while they were having a bad dream. Twilight had still asked for Rainbow Dash's help, however, even if it was only in her dream. But there wasn't much Rainbow Dash could do that didn't involve waking her.
"Twilight," she whispered. "Wake up, ya bookworm."
Twilight's legs began to flail a bit and she rolled her head across the book. One of the pages almost folded onto itself from the movement.
Rainbow Dash sighed and removed the book from underneath Twilight with care. Twilight's head rested onto the wood and she winced again. This time, one of her legs flailed out and struck Rainbow Dash across the face. |
