For another, she seems to stress the pony-eating capabilities of the dragon in the reasons she's not afraid of, say, Spike. I recommend against Suited for Success. It's a good episode, but I found the writing a bit uncharacteristic of the previous episodes.
I'd start her on the first three. The first two introduce the characters, and the third sets the tone for the rest. After that, she'll be hooked on the 'better' episodes and the ones that take a bit more effort to enjoy.

I think The Ticket Master is a good place to start. Its focus is on the designated 'main character' while all the other ponies get about equal screentime, and has some pretty funny scenes.

There were some good jokes (I fucking loved Pinkie Pie's "crazy cat lady" comment, that was good shit) but I really haven't enjoyed any of the music on the show and since it was really music-heavy I had a hard time appreciating it. Plus it was just overall really girly (not that I'm surprised, I know what I'm watching).

It's not my favorite, but it's like...top four. I really was not expecting to like it as much as I did. But it had:

1) A pretty good song that took me until the reprise to really get into. After that I was hooked.

2) Rarity getting some sympathy. First time since ep 2 and it was enough to push her up two spaces in my ranking (5th to 3rd).

3) Fucking visuals. The second fashion show was some of the best animation in the show so far period.

The Trixie role-player did a relentless onslaught of damage to the character's reputation with the older crowd, that much is 100% correct. Due to that, Trixie got all kinds of awful art, stories, and undeserved hatred from the fan-base. The brutal damage the role-player caused is very slowly subsiding though, as I see far more people warming up to Trixie's character.
