Twenty minutes of Pinkie staring at a mayonnaise jar.

Pinkie Pie's mother was one of the finest confectioners in all of Equestria.
When she was small, she would watch her mother cooking amazing treats and she would help deliver them from here to Fillydelphia.
Most of these deliveries were to parties, where Pinkie was able to see how her moms creations made everyone happy. But to serve is not the same as to be invited. So Pinkie would watch the well-to-do ponies have grand galas and birthday parties from the kitchen where she was happy to help her mom make the parties even better.
After every party, Pinkie would find her own candy and loving nuzzle for doing her best.

The travel took it's toll on Pinkie's mother, she got very ill, and left Pinkie alone in this world.
But the lessons stayed with Pinkie and she always takes a sweet outlook on life.
Staying in Ponyville with her aunt and uncle in the bakery.
Now when her own parties are done, she has a candy and remembers.

My reasoning:

-Months ago somebody connected to the show claimed that an upcoming episode would dispense with a piece of our fanon. This was early in the brony community, when we had few theories. Among them: Dash is a lesbian, Celestia is a tyrant, and Pinkie is an orphan.
He did not say which one.

-About a month ago all sorts of people, in a sort of light trolling, were talking about an upcoming episode where Dash got a boyfriend. I do not believe it is this for two reasons: 1. Dash is a lesbian, 2. introducing a boyfriend would be a pretty big stretch for the show's content (moreso than parents). Celestia is not a tyrant. So, IMO, the most likely would be seeing Pinkie's parents. Other bits of fanon are, of course, possible targets.

3. Last week late at night, while posting anonymously, I posted my theory. Somebody claiming to be connected with the show quietly said I was correct. He also said it would involve one of those gags where the parents are the opposite of their kid (i.e. they're stuffed shirts). But he would go into no details, and soon left. I don't know if anybody else even noticed the back and forth.

So that's why I think we'll see Pinkie's parents. The guy could have been lying, of course. But I've been pretty good with my predictions so far.

I think it was called Severing. I only read about halfway through one chapter before I just had to stop. I enjoyed it. I vaguely remember it from before. It raises some interesting questions continuity-wise, such as why things didn't fall apart without Luna. A good paranoia fic, especially the ending. I liked the characterization of the unnamed Pony who wrote it. There's room for a follow-up, wherein the resistance discovers the true nature of those handles that are on everything: Equestria is built on the charred ruins of Earth, and man has all but died out.

There were only two things I thought could have improvement. I thought the Ursas were a single species from how they were mentioned by Twilight at the end of the episode: a Minor grows into a Major, and there are probably more than just those two. Aren't those two constellations still up in the skies? Perhaps the constellation was freed for a time to procreate on the planet? Also, there was no mention of the stars that (apparently) freed Luna from the moon.

Please check the MLP:FiM Thread Locator and
Archive before going out and about and starting
a new thread. /co/ doesn't mind if we stay in
a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the brink of bump limit, and is at the
image limit (150 pics). Once a new one
is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.

Please only post Generals on /co/ and maybe wallpapers
on /wg/, thank you.

Obviously trolls & haters cannot be helped.

New System: When the old general thread dies, the
general thread image is to be deleted and placed
onto the new one. Old general will be archived.

Archive system can only pick up threads with the
correct keywords, MLP, Pony, Ponies and things
along them lines work.
