I'll admit, this episode made me like Rarity more than the other ponies. She really is the spirit of Generosity.

I hold a strong dislike for singing in most everything I watch. Having half the damn episode as a song didn't really help it.

So any news on the next episode? Hopefully Pinkie Pie.

A good episode about Rarity is a Diamond Dozen these days.

Tonight was the first time I actually liked rarity. Not only that, but I genuinely felt bad for her. Everyone knows what it feels like to be unappreciated after a really hard effort.

I don't think I can make it through the rest of this episode. Fluttershy doesn't like her 2nd dress and I am fuming. FUMING!

My biggest issue is that they couldn't recognize a ridiculous amount of effort and skill, even if it wasn't exactly what they had in mind. Seriously, they didn't even try.

I'm just trying to dilute the haterade for the other ponies, but they were simply expecting better from a pony who is in the fashion business, and so their expectations were pretty high.

They should feel like a bunch of jackasses since they almost destroyed her career and self-respect...

Ah, I'm so excited for an actual Grand Galloping Gala episode. Season finale?

I felt so much symapthy for Rarity in this episode.
Doing anything creative for friends/family seems to be a disaster waiting to happen. (My sister is the Rainbow Dash type in this episode. She's been asking for a painting for half a year now. She cant tell me anything besides that she wants it "textured." No colours, no subject matter, no theme. She's going to end up with some crazy something that I like instead.)

Hm. I really loved last week's episode (my 2nd favorite after Swarm of the Century) but this one just bugged me. Everyone but Rarity seemed to be out of character, being so bitchy and ungrateful about the dresses. It seemed like a forced way to move the plot forward. This was the first ep where I felt like the writing was just not up to par.

Though the song was awesome.

I don't know, I think it was within acceptable tolerances. In a 20 minute time frame it's hard to move the plot forward. Everything seemed within the character personality, although a bit exaggerated. I think it was mostly from Rarity's perspective.

This. I've got no problem with pony threads, but having 2-3 threads constantly on the front page is just fucking stupid. You don't even get that with shit like Homestuck and Regular Show.

This ep has really brought out the fair-weather fans en masse.

Bronies want the characters to exhibit flaws (I've heard Twilight and AJ be called out especially for being writer's pets), but when they do, ZOMG BITCHY BITCH BITCH ALL OF MY HATE.

On the other side we now have loads of new Rarity fans who this time last week were calling her a gold-digging bitch who did not at all represent generosity.

Can we just accept the fact that well-rounded characters have negatives as well as positives?
